Introduction: In this lab, experimenters viewed electron transitions in different elements through the use of a spectrometer. They viewed the electron jump from one energy level to the next through the emission or absorption of light. The Bohr model shows that electron orbit the nucleus in there own energy level and jump from one energy level to another when the electrons are excited.

The Bohr model concludes that electron give off energy when the electrons go from their excited state to their original state. Electrons absorb energy from surrounded which causes the electron to jump to a higher energy level. The electrons then release the energy to move back to its original state and the light is omitted. When the electron goes back to the second energy level it gives visible light that can be seen with a spectrometer.
